View and Export Audit Logs

View and Export Audit Logs This article explains how to access workspace audit logs in TexAu and how to use them for compliance and security reviews. What audit logs record Audit logs capture security-relevant and administrative events in your workspace. They go beyond the standard activity log and include: - Sign-in and sign-out events - Failed login attempts - API key creation and revocation - Role changes for team members - Integration credential additions and removals - Data exports - Billing changes Audit logs are read-only. They cannot be modified or deleted. Before you begin Audit log access requires the Owner role in your workspace. Open the audit logs Coming soon: The audit log is being rolled out. Check Settings for availability in your account. 1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar. 2. Look for Audit logs or Activity. The exact location may vary depending on your account. Entries appear in reverse chronological order. Filter audit logs 1. Click Filter at the top of the page. 2. Choose any combination of: - Event category - authentication, billing, team management, integrations, data, API - User - a specific team member's email - Date range - up to 90 days of history available 3. Click Apply. Export audit logs 1. Set the filters you need. 2. Click Export. 3. Select CSV or JSON. 4. Click Download. Exported files include all fields shown on screen plus additional metadata such as IP address and user agent. Review a specific event 1. Click any entry in the log. The expanded view shows: - Full event name - User who performed the action - IP address of the request - Browser or API client - Timestamp (UTC) - Affected resource (e.g., integration name, team member email) Troubleshooting The Audit logs option is not visible in Settings. Audit logs are available on specific plans and require the Owner role. If you are an Owner but do not see the option, your current plan may not include audit log access. Check Settings > Billing for your plan details. Audit log entries are missing for a specific date. The audit log retains up to 90 days of history. Events older than 90 days are not shown. If you need longer retention, export the logs regularly. The exported file is empty. Active filters may be excluding all entries. Clear all filters and export again. I need audit logs for a deleted user. Deleted users' events remain in the audit log. Filter by the user's email address to find their historical activity. IP addresses in the log are unexpected. A user may be accessing TexAu through a VPN, proxy, or shared office IP. Multiple users sharing a network appear to come from the same IP. This is normal behavior.

Create and Manage Workspaces

Create and Manage Workspaces A workspace is a separate environment in TexAu that contains its own tables, templates, integrations, team members, and settings. Use multiple workspaces to keep different projects, departments, or clients organized. Before you begin Your plan determines how many workspaces you can create. Check Settings > Billing for your current plan limits. What is a workspace Each workspace has its own: - Tables - Your data imports and enrichment results - Templates - Reusable enrichment workflows - Integrations - Connected data sources and providers - Team members - Colleagues with specific roles and permissions - Settings - Workspace-specific configurations Data in one workspace does not appear in another. This keeps different projects and teams separate. Create a new workspace 1. Click the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar. 2. Click Create New Workspace. 3. Enter a descriptive name for the workspace (for example, "Q1 2026 Lead Enrichment" or "Partner Data Platform"). 4. Click Create. You automatically become the Owner of the new workspace and can start inviting team members right away. Switch between workspaces 1. Click the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar. 2. Select the workspace you want to switch to. Your current workspace name is shown in the sidebar. When you switch workspaces, the tables, templates, and team members update to reflect the selected workspace. Rename a workspace 1. Go to Settings > Profile. 2. Find the workspace card. 3. Click the pencil icon on the workspace card. 4. Enter the new name (2 to 50 characters). 5. Click Save. Only Owners and Admins can rename a workspace. Workspace limits by plan Your TexAu plan determines how many workspaces and team members you can have: | Plan | Workspaces | Team Members | |------|-----------|-------------| | Solo | 1 | 1 | | Starter | 1 | 3 | | Teams | 5 | 5 (additional at $99/member/month) | | Enterprise | Custom | Custom | If you are reaching your workspace limit, consider upgrading your plan in Settings > Billing. Transfer workspace ownership Only the current Owner can transfer ownership: 1. Go to Settings > Members. 2. Find the team member you want to make the new Owner. 3. Click their role dropdown. 4. Select Transfer Ownership. 5. Confirm your choice. The new Owner gains full control over the workspace. You become an Admin. Delete a workspace Deleting a workspace permanently removes all its tables, templates, integrations, and settings. 1. Go to Settings > Profile. 2. Find the workspace you want to delete. 3. Click Delete. 4. Review the confirmation message carefully. 5. Confirm the deletion. Only the Owner can delete a workspace. This action cannot be undone. Naming conventions Clear workspace names save time and reduce confusion. Some examples: - By department: "Marketing Data", "Sales Operations", "Customer Success" - By project: "Q1 Lead Enrichment", "Annual Account Review 2026" - By function: "Lead Scoring", "Account Intelligence", "Prospect Research" Troubleshooting I cannot create a new workspace. Check your plan limits in Settings > Billing. You may have reached the maximum number of workspaces for your plan. I do not see the option to rename or delete a workspace. You need the Owner or Admin role to rename a workspace and the Owner role to delete it. Check your role on the Settings > Members page. I cannot find the workspace switcher. The workspace switcher is in the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar. Click your profile to see the list of workspaces. Change a team member's role 1. Go to Settings > Members. 2. Find the team member in the list. 3. Click their current role. 4. Select the new role from the dropdown. 5. Confirm the change. The change takes effect immediately. Remove a team member 1. Go to Settings > Members. 2. Find the team member you want to remove. 3. Click Remove. 4. Confirm your choice. Once removed, the team member loses access to the workspace immediately. Leave a workspace If you want to leave a workspace but keep your TexAu account: 1. Click the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar. 2. Select the workspace you want to leave. 3. Click Leave Workspace. 4. Confirm your choice. You cannot leave a workspace where you are the sole Owner. Transfer ownership to another team member first. Troubleshooting The invitation email was not received. Ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. If the email is not there, go to Settings > Members, find the pending invite, and click Resend. Someone accepted the invitation but does not appear in the team list. Refresh the page. If they still do not appear after a minute, try revoking the invitation and sending a new one. I accepted an invitation but cannot see any data. Click the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar and confirm you are viewing the correct workspace. You may be in a different workspace. I cannot change a team member's role. Only Owners and Admins can change roles. Check your own role on the Settings > Members page. Understand Team Roles and Permissions

Understand Team Roles and Permissions Every person in your TexAu workspace has a role that determines what they can do. TexAu uses five role levels to give team members the right amount of access. Before you begin You need the Owner or Admin role to change team member roles. Go to Settings > Members to view and manage roles. The five TexAu roles Owner The Owner has complete control over the workspace, including billing and the ability to delete the workspace. Owner can: - View and manage all tables, templates, and data - Run enrichments and access all results - Create and delete templates - Invite, remove, and manage all team members - Change any team member's role - Transfer workspace ownership to another team member - Manage all integrations and data connections - Access and modify all workspace settings - Control billing and manage plans - Delete the workspace When to assign Owner: One person per workspace, typically the person who created it or the team lead responsible for the workspace. Admin Admins handle day-to-day operations such as team coordination and workflow setup. They do not have access to billing or ownership transfer. Admin can: - View and manage all tables, templates, and data - Run enrichments and access all results - Create, edit, and delete templates - Invite team members and assign roles (Member, Editor, Viewer) - Remove Members, Editors, and Viewers from the workspace - Configure and manage all integrations - Modify workspace settings (except billing) Admin cannot: - Manage other Admins or the Owner - Access or modify billing information - Transfer workspace ownership - Delete the workspace When to assign Admin: Team leads, project managers, or senior analysts who manage templates, integrations, and coordinate the team. Member Members can work with data and run enrichments. They have broader access than Editors but cannot manage team settings. Member can: - View and manage all tables and data - Run enrichments and access all results - Create and edit templates - Use integrations configured by Admins or Owners - Download and export data Member cannot: - Invite or remove team members - Change anyone's role - Modify workspace settings - Configure integrations - Delete the workspace When to assign Member: Active team members who need full access to data and templates but do not need to manage the workspace or team. Editor Editors work with data daily. They can create and manage their own tables and run enrichments, but they cannot manage the team or workspace settings. Editor can: - Create and edit tables - Run enrichments using existing templates - Create and modify their own templates - Download and export data - View all tables and enrichment results Editor cannot: - Invite or remove team members - Change anyone's role - Modify workspace settings - Configure integrations - Delete tables or templates created by others When to assign Editor: Data analysts and project team members who need to import data and run enrichments daily. Viewer Viewers have read-only access. They can see results and download exports but cannot make changes. Viewer can: - View all tables and enrichment results - Download and export data - View templates (but not modify them) Viewer cannot: - Create or edit tables - Run enrichments - Modify or delete templates - Invite or manage team members - Access workspace settings When to assign Viewer: Executives, clients, or team members from other departments who need to see results without making changes. Quick permissions reference | Action | Owner | Admin | Member | Editor | Viewer | |--------|-------|-------|--------|--------|--------| | Data Operations | | | | | | | View tables | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Create/edit tables | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | | Delete tables | Yes | Yes | Yes | Own only | No | | Run enrichments | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | | Download/export data | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Template Management | | | | | | | Create templates | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | | Edit templates | Yes | Yes | Yes | Own only | No | | Delete templates | Yes | Yes | Yes | Own only | No | | View templates | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | | Team and Workspace | | | | | | | Invite members | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Remove members | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Change roles | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Transfer ownership | Yes | No | No | No | No | | Settings and Admin | | | | | | | View workspace settings | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Modify settings | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Manage integrations | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Manage billing | Yes | Yes | No | No | No | | Delete workspace | Yes | No | No | No | No | Change a team member's role 1. Go to Settings > Members. 2. Find the team member in the list. 3. Click their current role. 4. Select the new role from the dropdown. 5. Confirm the change. The change takes effect immediately. The team member does not need to log out and back in. Best practices for assigning roles Small teams (2 to 5 people): - 1 Owner (team lead) - Everyone else as Members or Editors Medium teams (6 to 15 people): - 1 Owner - 1 to 2 Admins (senior analysts or project managers) - Remaining team as Members, Editors, or Viewers based on needs Large teams (15+ people): - 1 Owner - 3 to 5 Admins (team leads for different projects) - Members and Editors (active data workers) - Viewers (stakeholders, executives, cross-functional collaborators) Special situations What if the Owner leaves? The Owner should transfer ownership to another team member before leaving. If the Owner becomes unavailable, contact TexAu support for assistance with ownership transfer. Can an Admin invite someone as an Owner? No. Admins can assign the Member, Editor, or Viewer role to new invitations. Only the current Owner can promote someone to Owner after they join the workspace. Troubleshooting I cannot change a team member's role. Only Owners and Admins can change roles. Check your own role on the Settings > Members page. A team member cannot see tables after their role was changed. Ask them to refresh the page. Permission changes take effect immediately but may require a page refresh to display.
